Does rsk.dedupe delete files automatically?+
No. Cleanup requires a preview and explicit confirmation. Selected files are moved into the application’s quarantine first by default.
How do duplicates differ from similar photos?+
Exact duplicates are byte-identical. Similar photos are detected from visual characteristics and must be judged using the preview and metadata.
Can files be restored?+
Quarantined files can be restored with conflict handling while their content and locations remain available. This is not a guarantee and important data still needs a backup.
Is the trial restricted?+
No. rsk.dedupe is fully functional for seven days. A licence is required afterwards.
Which storage locations does rsk.files support?+
Local folders and drives, network drives, UNC paths, archives, FTP, FTPS, SFTP, Dropbox, OneDrive, and Google Drive.
Can I transfer files between different providers?+
Yes. Transfers can run from local storage to SFTP, SFTP to cloud, or between two cloud connections.
Can rsk.files compare and synchronize folders?+
Yes. Compare, update one way, synchronize bidirectionally, or mirror folders, with a complete plan shown before execution.
Are my credentials protected?+
Passwords and tokens are not stored in plain text. They are protected through the Windows user context and masked in logs.
What can I use during the trial?+
Every feature is available for seven days without file limits or locked areas. A valid licence is required afterwards.
Is rsk.files a subscription?+
No. The licence is a one-time €59.95 purchase, and the purchased major version remains usable indefinitely.
Which systems does rsk.files support?+
rsk.files is built for Windows 11 x64 and installs self-contained, so no separate .NET runtime is required.
What exactly is rsk.guardian?+
rsk.guardian is a Windows tool for automating file and folder operations.
You define a trigger, set conditions, and then determine which action should be performed. This allows you to automate recurring tasks that you would otherwise have to handle manually every time.
Does rsk.guardian need to remain open permanently?+
rsk.guardian runs in the background and can monitor your defined folders and rules while you continue working as usual.
Which tasks can I automate?+
For example, moving, copying, renaming, sorting, archiving, extracting, or logging files.
You can keep rules very simple or combine multiple conditions and actions into more complex workflows.
Can I test rules before they are executed?+
Yes. Oversight is important, especially with automated file operations. That’s why you can review and trace processes before unleashing them on large volumes of data.
Are my files uploaded to a cloud?+
No. rsk.guardian processes your files locally or at the storage locations you have specified.
No cloud is required for the actual automation of your files.
Do I need a user account?+
No.
You can download and install rsk.guardian and fully test it for seven days without creating a user account beforehand.
Are there any limitations in the trial version?+
No. During the seven days, you can try out all the features of rsk.guardian.
After the seven days, a valid license is mandatory to continue using the software.
