2. Privacy-friendly operation
ruesken.net is intentionally designed to minimise data processing. No analytics, statistics, marketing or profiling services are used during a normal visit. In particular, the website does not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Matomo or CCM19.
The website does not set cookies or use comparable tracking technologies during a normal visit. This is why no cookie or consent banner is displayed.
Fonts, icons, images, stylesheets and scripts are delivered locally or from the website’s own server. Loading fonts or design elements does not establish a connection to Google, Font Awesome or any other external provider.
Apart from technically necessary hosting, simply visiting the website therefore does not disclose data to third parties and, in particular, does not transfer data to providers in the United States. Section 6 applies to a purchase process that you explicitly start through Paddle.
3. Hosting and server logs
Hosting by IONOS
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany.
When the website is accessed, the hosting provider processes technically necessary connection data in server log files. This may include the IP address, date and time, requested page or file, transferred data volume, referrer URL, browser and operating-system information.
This processing is necessary to provide the website securely, reliably and without errors and to detect attacks or misuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of this website.
Log data is retained only for as long as necessary for these purposes or to comply with legal obligations. A data processing agreement has been concluded with IONOS where required.

5. Contact
Contact form
If you use the contact form, your name, email address, selected topic, subject, message and chosen website language are processed. Technical information such as the submission time and IP address, or a shortened checksum derived from it, is also processed temporarily for spam prevention, submission-speed checks and rate limiting.
The information is sent via an encrypted SMTP connection to the email account configured for ruesken.net and is used solely to handle your request and any follow-up questions. The form does not set cookies.
For contractual or pre-contractual enquiries, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. In all other cases, processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and the legitimate interest in responding reliably to enquiries and protecting the form against misuse.
The data is deleted once the enquiry has been fully resolved, unless statutory retention obligations or other legitimate grounds require further storage.
Contact by email or telephone
If you contact us by email or telephone, the information you provide is processed insofar as this is necessary to handle the enquiry. Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR and the deletion principles described above apply accordingly.
6. Software purchases through Paddle
Paddle is loaded only after you click “Buy”
Paddle checkout is not part of a normal page load. Only after you click a Buy button does the website load Paddle.js from cdn.paddle.com and open the checkout. From that point, a direct connection to Paddle is established and at least your IP address and technical browser data are transmitted to Paddle.
Order and payment processing
Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and handles the sale and payment as the reseller of the digital product. Depending on the purchase, Paddle and the payment providers involved may process your name, contact and billing details, country or region, product and order data, price and currency, payment and tax information, IP address, and details of refunds or payment issues.
Full credit-card or bank details are generally entered with Paddle or the selected payment provider and are not transmitted to ruesken.net. Paddle may provide ruesken.net with purchase data such as name, email address, product, transaction number, purchase date, country, payment status and refund status where this is necessary for licence delivery, activation, support, contract performance and legal obligations.
The legal bases are Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for purchases, licences and support, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR for legal obligations and, where applicable, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for fraud prevention and protection against misuse.
International transfers by Paddle
Paddle operates internationally. During the purchase process that you initiate, data may also be processed outside the European Economic Area, potentially including the United States. Paddle states that it uses Standard Contractual Clauses and other appropriate safeguards for transfers to countries without an adequacy decision. Paddle’s privacy policy provides details and identifies the relevant Paddle entity.

7. Downloads, customer and licence data
Download links lead to operations.ruesken.net, a service operated under the same responsibility. Technically necessary server-log data such as IP address, time, requested file and browser information may be processed there to deliver downloads securely and reliably. No tracking is used.
In connection with a purchase, delivery, one-time online activation and support, the following data may be processed: name, email address, transaction or order number, purchased software, licence status, purchase and activation time, and support information that you provide voluntarily.
Processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and, for data subject to statutory retention, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Purchase, contract and invoice data is stored only for as long as necessary for licensing, support, contract performance or statutory retention obligations.
8. Encryption
This website uses TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser. Encryption protects data while it is being transmitted.
9. Your rights
Subject to the applicable statutory requirements, you have the right to:
